Mitchell W. Stout Physical Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art facility with over 60,000 sq. ft., and is the premiere Gymnasium on the main post. Put yourself to the challenge with 3 full-size basketball courts, 6 racquetball courts, and a volleyball court. The four weight rooms feature Hammer Strength and Life Fitness equipment. One weight room is entirely selectorized equipment featuring circuit training, another is a dumbbell room, one is a leg room, and the main weight room is upper body with all the benches and machines imaginable.
It also has a whole assortment of cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, steppers, elliptical steppers, and stationary bikes housed on a Cardio Loft where you can peddle or walk your way to fitness while you watch one of six televisions. Aerobics and Personal Training are offered by certified instructors. Personal Training is by appointment only. Body fat testing using Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) and BMI are also available by appointment for $5.
The aerobics room has a brand new wood floor and sound system. We will soon be adding an indoor cycling program to complement our already great selection of aerobics classes. Schedules are available for pick-up at Stout Gym.
The Nutrition Connection Juice Bar, located in the lobby of Stout Fitness Center, menu offers fruit smoothies, along with an assortment of “sensational shakes” such as the muscle builder, fat burner, pure protein, energizer and power shakes. Patrons may customize their drinks by selecting from a menu of recommended additives, which target specific areas such as fat loss, muscle gain or nutrition. Finally, customers get to choose from a myriad of flavors like strawberry, banana, piña colada, raspberry, cappuccino, vanilla, chocolate, mango or peach to complete their drink concoction.
The Stout Track and Field Complex, a six lane, 400-meter track with a 100-meter straight away features a full size dual football and soccer field, a scoreboard, and landscaping. Being located adjacent to Stout Gym, Fort Bliss' premiere gym, is a plus for the Fort Bliss Community. Residents can now get an indoor cardiovascular workout or take a brisk jog outdoors yet still remain in the same complex.
