Looking for cutting edge activities? Want to be on the leading edge? Then YOU are a perfect candidate for an exciting new program being offered here at Ft. Bliss; the EDGE!

Ft. Bliss Child, Youth, and School Services (CYSS) knows that there are first graders through high school seniors who either have interest in or curiosity about a myriad of ?extracurricular activities? that they would like the opportunity to explore. So make room in your life for the EDGE!

Starting this fall we will be offering month long cutting EDGE! sessions to introduce you to a variety of new activities. If you find the activity interesting you will have the opportunity to pursue it further through on-going classes offered by the Middle School and Teen program, SKIESUnlimited, Rod and Gun Club, Bowling Center, Golf Course, etc.

You can sign up for the EDGE! now at the CYSS Central Enrollment and Registration (CER) office which is located in Bldg. 1743, Victory Ave. and open from 0700 to 1730 M-F. Appointments are encouraged (so you won?t have to wait) and can be made by calling the CER office (915) 568-4374.

First Tee Program

The First Tee has introduced the game of golf and Life Skills Experience, a curriculum for teaching character education through specific life skills, helps participants learn to appreciate diversity, manage emotions, set step by step goals and plan for the future. Through the Life Skills Experience, young people discover how skills essential to success on a golf course can also help them flourish in life. These skills include self-management, interpersonal communication, goal setting, mentoring and effective conflict resolution.

This course is free of charge and open to children 7 years of age and older. The course will be conducted at Underwood Golf Complex twice a week, beginning March 23 through May 15 on Tuesday's from 4 – 5 p.m. and Saturday's from 10 – 11 a.m. This course is free of charge.
